Her second ever painting - didn't she do well?

I hadn't planned on writing any blog entries today. But that changed when I checked my e-mails first thing this morning. Rebeka, my student, earlier this week left with a bag of painting supplies and DVD's. She has made a rather lovely version of 'Golden Lake' just by following my step by step guide. Hard to believe it's only her second ever painting - and this one she done by herself.

Another Bamburgh Castle......

I have just received this photo from a customer of mine. He had been eager to paint the Bamburgh Castle project and the only thing stopping him was waiting for the panoramic / letterbox canvases to arrive.

Jim used water mixable oils instead of the traditional oils that I use.

By following my step by step tuition on the DVD, this is what he produced. I think it's wonderful. As this is only my second DVD, feedback and results like this really do give us great encouragement to carry on.

The first result

I've just received the first photo of a painting made by following my DVD. THis is Lee's picture, you can see he's changed the canvas around to portrait instead of landscape and it alters the composition in a really lovely way too. The picture was taken on his mobile phone and sent by text to me. I think you'll agree, he's done a marvellous job. In his text message to me he says 'Now THIS one I like....' And for anyone who knows Lee, they will know he is his own worst critic. If anyone else wants to text in a photo - you can do so on 079500 32557Look forward to seeing some more.... and well done Lee
